Cooking and spending time at the table is not just business or pleasure!

It is the learning of essential life skills.

It is a sense of agency, independence, belonging to a group, and teamwork.

It is a place for important conversations, building relationships, and fostering hope for a better future.

Since 2022, the Jan Kaczkowski Foundation, together with Patryk Galewski—co-protagonist of the film Johnny and a professional chef—has been using the kitchen and dining table to implement the PAKA Inne Garowanie project. Experts in the penitentiary field refer to it as a new dimension of juvenile rehabilitation in Poland.

We call it RE-SOCIALIZATION WITH LOVE

PAKA cooks and spends time at the table with young people who have had less luck in life, made mistakes, and are currently in juvenile correctional facilities and rehabilitation centers.

PAKA also operates in schools. Meetings and culinary workshops with Patryk Galewski serve as a “pre-psychological” impulse for young people, encouraging them to seek professional support.
