Małgorzata Kalisz is the Head Chef at Restauracja Góralska Tradycja, Trattoria Parmigiano, and Kuchnia Regionalna ZBYRCOK in Zakopane.
She began her career after graduating from the Stefania Sempołowska Culinary Technical School, gaining experience at Restauracja Prima in Puławy. From 2001, she worked as a restaurant manager at the Szwoleżer Riding Club in Kazimierz Dolny on the Vistula River. She served as the manager of Restauracja Kameralna in Puławy for two years.
She brought the art of Italian cuisine from Modena, where she returned to the kitchen in 2005 and worked her way through all levels at Restaurant Atmosfere. She worked as a personal chef in Modena and Verona with the best chefs in Italy. She also learned the secrets of traditional balsamic vinegar at Acetaii Fabbi in Modena. Now, she serves authentic Italian cuisine at Trattoria Parmigiano in Zakopane.
Returning from Italy with her husband, a highlander, and a passion for Goral cuisine, she took her first steps as the Head Chef at Restauracja Zakopiańskie Smaki in Zakopane.
Since 2021, she has been the Head Chef at Restauracja Góralska Tradycja, with which she received the Poland 100 Best Restaurants 4 Forks award in 2023.
She was a finalist in the prestigious Bocuse d’Or Poland competition in 2023.
